The H450EN Honeywell CO (carbon monoxide) leak detector allows you to detect the presence of carbon monoxide in the air. Warns of carbon monoxide content from the lower threshold of 50 ppm.
Instructions in Czech download here
The appliance shall be installed in rooms that contain a fuel appliance, it shall be at a distance of 1 - 3 m from a possible source of CO. It uses both audible and visual indication of exceeded CO concentration.
The detector is calibrated for the lifetime (6.5 years) which is marked on the packaging. The detector automatically performs functional tests and alerts you to a fault (probe, battery, etc.) with a warning tone.
Product Certification:
- CE certificate
- The detectors are approved according to the European standard EN50291:2001
- Made and tested in Europe
Detection principle - Electrochemical cell
Concentrations and action times for alarm activation
- 50 ppm for 60 to 90 minutes,
- 100 ppm for 10 to 40 minutes
- 300 ppm less than 3 minutes
Battery powered. Service life 6.5 years. Warranty 6 years. The battery is a fixed part of the machine and is therefore included in the package. After unpacking, the device is immediately ready for use.
In the Czech Republic, many thousands of people suffer carbon monoxide poisoning every year, with dozens of cases ending in death. These tragedies could have been prevented with a reliable carbon monoxide detector. Especially at risk are young children, pregnant women, the elderly, and people suffering from cardiovascular disease. You probably are too, so please read our carbon monoxide fact sheet.
Why Honeywell H450EN carbon monoxide alarm?
Because it protects your life and the lives of your loved ones most reliably!
The CO alarm Honeywell H450EN meets all the requirements that are placed on carbon monoxide detectors and alarms:
- doesn't set off a false alarm;
- if there is a small amount of carbon monoxide in the air, it does not trigger the alarm immediately, but always signals after an appropriate time;
- However, if there is a lot of carbon monoxide in the air, it will immediately sound an alarm.
Is the carbon monoxide detector demonstrably reliable?
There are many types of carbon monoxide alarms on the market. The "CE" marking and certification according to "EN 50291:2010" on the CO detector or on the packaging are good guides, without them it is not worth buying a carbon monoxide detector.
Recently, a Hungarian independent laboratory has investigated the major alarms on the market. They tested 3 of each type, so they could determine not only how reliable the alarm was, but also how reliable the manufacturing process was.
Based on these tests, the Honeywell H450EN was virtually the only one to succeed in all areas of carbon monoxide detector reliability testing:
- Not once did he set off a false alarm.
- All three instruments Honeywell signaled within the specified time range at the carbon monoxide densities studied.
- All three tested devices Honeywell H450EN signaled at approximately the same time.
- You can read more about the tests in the VGF trade magazine Technique for Water, Gas and Heating.
Other advantages of the H450EN carbon monoxide detector
- 6 years warranty.
- lifetime 7 years.
- Self-calibrating detector also used in industrial systems with high accuracy.
- During production, we test each CO detector with real carbon monoxide twice. Your family's safety doesn't depend on luck alone.
- You never have to change batteries.
- Inscriptions in Czech on CO detector, instructions for use in Czech.
- If we convert its price to the price of ice cream, the monthly price comes out to barely the price of a scoop.
- How much do you value the safety of your family? It is not worth experimenting with cheap but guaranteed unreliable CO detectors
